" 1200 hr 18 Jan Lt. Atchison's platoon from E Company has been returned from TD at Task Force. Our complete Bn is now in new camp areaText Box: 51.  less 1 F company platoon on TD with Task Force. The perimeter is no longer main­tained, but in case of an overland or amphibious Jap attack, we will revert to vacated positions, which are a short distance from our present camp site.

 

Company messes are proving to be one of the best innovations in Regimental history. The food can be prepared better in smaller quantities, and the competition between company messes is a joy forever to the gourmet G.I.'s.
