In Company G's mop-up of a
ravine north east of Kindley Field, a trooper fell wounded before one of
three supporting enemy caves. Pfc. Maxwell rushed to his fallen comrade,
firing his Thompson submachine gun with one hand and carrying his buddy
to safety with the other.
