BURNHAM FIELD - LUNETA PARK, 1945

What is now known as Luneta Park was, during the 1920's, a wide expanse of parkland at the edge of Intramuros (at the left midground). The Manila Hotel has its own ocean frontage, and to the left foreground are the Maritime Piers. The Rizal monument is one of the few fixed points which hasn't changed in all the years.   (National Archives Photo)
