"Major Massello had said that if CEBU were to represent themselves as part of the 60th 2d Battalion it might evacuate to Corregidor provided it was able to be at Mariveles within two hours"

Battery C of the 91st Coast Artillery was an American led Philippine Scouts Unit equipped with four 3" AA Guns, and 2 Searchlights.  It was initially part of Ft. Wint, then transferred to  Dinalupihan, Bataan,  and was evacuated to Corregidor where it was assigned to harbor defense.

Unit History by Captain John Gulick

Washington State has several coastal artillery forts that have been turned into state parks and may be a good vacation stop for anyone that wants to get a slight feeling for Corregidor.  Fort Casey has 2 disappearing carriage 10" guns.  One is locked up in firing position and one is locked down in loading position.  These guns came from Ft. Wint in the 60's.  The forts are of typical C.A. design - if 3 feet of concrete was good, 6 feet was better.  (Report by Harry Whitmore, Fife, Wa.)
