The top photo is submitted by John Gainer, Greenville TX, whose grandfather (John Thomas Gainer) was an artilleryman stationed at Ft. Mills in the 1909-1911 period.  Can anyone tell us what building it was, and possibly where it was taken from?

The picture is the rear [south end] of the Fort Mills Station Hospital. The photo is pointing north. The building appears to be occupied; note mattresses and people in the upper story. The work in progress seems to be landscaping and construction of an access road to the hospitals. The road to the left runs to the front entrance. Ed McCarthy and his twin sister were born here.
