THE CORREGIDOR EMERGENCY DEFENSE MAP OF 1941 - This map of emergency gun batteries, mortar emplacements, machine gun positions, observation posts, searchlights final defensive lines and much more was originally drawn over the Roads and Trails 1941 map in anticipation of hostilities. It is professionally redrawn in its entirety, its exact details reproduced in the finest details by our Mapmaster, Martyn Keen.  Delivery via e-mail as a 1200 dpi *.pdf file with your unique password. This will allow you to have, on screen, its entire exquisite details. Portions can can be printed on any size paper  and the full size map will print to the maximum page size of 841 X 594mm (paper size A1).

To accompany all of our DigiMaps, we recommend that you DOWNLOAD our extract from Coast Artillery Field Manual FM4-155 which contains the standard Coast Artillery Map Symbols used.

Dated 13th February 1941, the map outlines the defenses that supplemented the permanent Harbor Defense instillations of Fort Mills.  As such, the map formed part of the defense plan against a landing on the tail of the island. The redrawn 1941 map is a must for students of Philippine- American History;  American Coastal Defenses; and early battles of the War in the Pacific.

The 1941 map was drawn at a scale of 1:8,400 and was originally printed at that scale on a sheet of A1 drafting paper. As such the redrawn map will print on a drafting plotter or can be printed in sections on a A4 color printer. To print a section of interest, zoom into the required area and print with the "Page scaling" set to NONE. The whole file can also be printed on a number of A4 sheets using the TILE ALL PAGES setting.

We are not making this automatic yet (because I have forgotten how, and need professional help, remember?) Your surname will be the password for the file which will be e-mailed to you.
