ITEM 4: CORREGIDOR MAP - 1936 - in three parts -

1 inch = 200 Feet

This is the best version we have available - Officially this is O.D.E., P.D. No. 3-1-1 Sheets 1, 2 & 3 - but most of us just call it by the shorthand title "the 1936 Map."

The map was revised March 31, 1936, and remained SECRET until 25 June 1942, at which point it was reclassified RESTRICTED. That's a bit peculiar, if you think about it, because by that latter date, Corregidor was in Japanese hands, and it was a safe assumption that Corregidor held few cartographic secrets any more.

Yet, even more peculiarly and against all logic, when the 503d Parachute Regimental Combat Team were tasked to jump on Corregidor in February 1945, the 1936 map was deliberately denied them.

Sheets 1 & 2 of this map are perfectly reproduced, though  Sheet 3 suffers from photostatic discoloration from our original.

Item Name: Map, 1936, three sheet
Price: $50 - includes Postage & Handling

Example of the  clarity of sheet 1 & 2.
