This
Members CD contains over 100 hours of materials, several hundred photographs from both
public and private collections, documents official and unofficial, maps and
memoirs - all weaving a rich, historic tapestry telling of the fall and rise of
one of the true, great American Icons.
It contains the fully
restored text of the intimate, first hand account of the premier combat jump of
the Pacific War, published for the first time - COMBAT OVER CORREGIDOR
It also features the
first publishing of Al McGrew's poignant and tragic autobiography of Corregidor
and survival, "Amid th' Encircling Gloom" and the reference works in progress of
the Unit Histories of the Coast Artillery of Manila and Subic Bays, 1941.
The most comprehensive collection of materials available about Corregidor's
history is now available as a stand-alone Reference CD.
It is based upon the internet websites of the Corregidor Historic Society and
and contains materials far beyond those available to non-members, including the
full texts of two historic manuscripts and almost two hours of historic radio
broadcasts.
The CD is for educational purposes and was produced by the
Corregidor Historic Society in collaboration the 503d Parachute Regimental
Combat Team of World War II Inc. It is provided free with Membership of
