THE EARLY YEARS

.

This series of images came to us without any identification of the images, or of their provenance - aside from the fact that they were sent to us by courtesy of Chet Nycum, of "G" Company.

Because of the lack of identification, it's been left up to us to wonder who the troopers are, or what they are doing - or even as to where and when they were caught by the camera.  This is a bit disturbing, and a bit tragic - that many of the stories have been lost. All those young faces, those fine young volunteers, not being able to tell us their stories.

So we'll try to keep the series interesting  - by discussing what it is that the images actually contain , and then (where we can) by adding some text which might best refer to the featured image.

If you think we're wrong, write and tell us. For posterity's sake, if you think you can write better captions, or improve (or correct) ours, welcome friend!
