The caption given to this photograph by B. B. Morton  may be erroneous. Based upon the locations of several other photographs in this series, this photograph was taken from an MG position above the trolley line near the roadway at the western end of Topside. The buildings in the mid distance are the NCO's Married Quarters, and this places the source of the explosion in the direct line of  Battery Wheeler.
