63RD TROOP CARRIER GROUP - Included with the collection
were two photographs of lines of C-47's. At the foot of this
photograph, barely legible enough to make out is written
the title, together with location and time data, thus,
(37�,34'N- 87�59'W (1700 14 JUNE)(TASCO G-77F." The 63rd Troop Carrier
Group was activated in December 1940 at Wright Field, and
became a training organisation at Ft. Benning, Georgia
training cadre for new troop carrier groups, and never went
overseas. It is likely that this photo was taken during jump
training at Ft. Benning.
