DISEMBARKING AT ORO BAY, NEW GUINEA -
At Oro Bay, we were debarked and transported in DUKWs from the
ship's gangway direct to the battalion area at Cape Sudest. The Oro
Bay airfield was not a large airfield, and supported mostly A-20
Havocs and a Night Fighter squadron. |
