Landing Zone "B" was the former 9-hole golf course, and was smaller than the athletic field.  The western end of the course is bounded by a road, which can be seen slashing diagonally across the picture. Below the road, Japanese troops were in control.  In the background  (l to r) are the communications tower, the lighthouse and the three water towers. T
