T/Sgt John BOYLE, .Infantry.. United States Army. For gallantry in action on Corregidor, Philippine Islands, ...on 24 February 1945..

On the north side of the island's tail, Company C  was mopping up at Artillery Point. T/Sgt John Boyle risked his life to save a platoon  from an enemy ambush.

Boyle was one of the men killed in the Monkey Point explosion of 26 Feb.
