Fishman  3rd Squad, 1st Platoon, "D" Co. cradles his BAR while on patrol. Fishman was from New York City, and arrived in the platoon about two weeks after St. Germaine and I.  Within 10 days of his arrival, we were in Negros, and there was absolutely no time for socializing. The intervening years have taken away my recollection of Fishman's first name.
