           2. UP WD Circular 269, 1943 as amended by Section IV, WD Circular 150, 1944, WD Circular 186, 1944, the Combat Infantryman�s Badge is awarded Horace W. Cladney, 06967893, for exemplary conduct in action against the enemy in combat operations in New Guinea. (Retroactive to 1 January 1944).

           3. UP Par 6B (1) circular 408, 1944 VOCO 1 August 1945, withdrawing award of the Combat Infantryman�s Badge to Pfc Horace W. Cladney, 06967893, 503d Parachute Infantry is hereby confirmed and made of record.

           4. UP D Circular 269, 1943, as amended by Section IV, D Circular 150, 1944, D Circular 186, 1944, the Combat Infantryman�s Badge is awarded Pfc Robert E. Grace, 38600382, Hq & Hq Co 503d Prcht Inf for exemplary conduct in action against the enemy in combat operations in Corregidor, P.I. (Retroactive to 16 February 1945).

           5. PURPLE HEART-Under the provisions of AR 600-45, as amended, a Purple Heart is awarded by the Commanding Officer, 503d Regimental Combat Team to the following named EM:

          Pvt FRED K. BEZ, 35652252, Parachute Infantry, United States Army.  For injuries received in action at Noemfoor Island, N.G. on 4 July 1944.  Nearest relative: Mr. Lassem Bez (Uncle), Sophia, West Virginia.

          Pfc CLYDE J. MORR, 36038956, Parachute Infantry, United States Army.  For injuries received in action at Noemfoor Island, N.G. on 3 July 1944.  Nearest relative: Nora Morr (M), RFD #3, Altamont, Illinois.

          Pfc ALVAN E. ANDERSEN, 37119408, Parachute Infantry, United States Army.  For injuries received in action at Noemfoor Island, N.G. on 22 July 1944.  Nearest relative: Lydia J. Andersen (M), Herman, Nebraska.

          Pfc CHARLES B. WOODLEE, 34147402, Parachute Infantry, United States Army.  For injuries received in action at Noemfoor Island, N.G. on 3 July 1944.  Nearest relative: Mrs. Lou K. Woodlee, (M), General Delivery, Tracy City, Tennessee.

          Pfc DOMINICK MAZZEI, 32135628, Parachute Infantry, United States Army.  For injuries received while at Leyte Is. P.I. on 2 September 1944.     Nearest relative: Salvatore Mazzei (F), 28 Willow St., Newark, New York.
