"THE STATES PHOTOS"
|
On our return to Mindoro from Corregidor, a series of photographs was taken of the surviving members of the 503d PRCT - those of us who were fit for duty. We were photographed in our State of Origin groupings. These photographs were published in Harold Templeman's "The Return To Corregidor," the first edition of which is now considered a collectors item. Subsequent reprints of Templeman were of poorer quality, and many of the details have been lost - until now! The originals were taken on glass positives, and their transfer to safety film has been one of our projects. The fresh negatives were then hand printed by master photographer Fred Hill. Click on the state to see the photos. Click on the Photos to view an enlargement. High Resolution versions of each photograph are present on the Membership CD Rom. Bob
